What we collect
- Account data: name, email, and password (hashed) when you create an account.
- Order data: shipping address, order history, and items purchased.
- Payment data: processed by Stripe — we never see or store your full card details.
- Usage data: pages visited, referring URL, browser type, and approximate location from your IP.
- Communications: emails you send us and our replies.
How we use it
- To fulfil and ship your orders.
- To send order confirmations, shipping updates, and refund notifications.
- To respond to support requests.
- To improve our site, products, and customer experience.
- To comply with legal obligations (tax, accounting, fraud prevention).
Legal basis
We process your data under the lawful bases of contract (to fulfil your order), legitimate interest (to run and improve our business), and consent (for optional marketing emails, which you can withdraw at any time).
Who we share data with
- Payment processor: Stripe.
- Print and fulfilment partners: to print and ship your order.
- Couriers: DHL, UPS, Royal Mail.
- Email provider: for transactional emails.
- Hosting and analytics: to keep the site running and understand usage.
We never sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
Order records are retained for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. Usage analytics are retained for up to 26 months.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; restrict or object to processing; and request data portability. Email support@okawall.com and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
